About Sunset Rock Villa
Part of the stunning Nagalaya development, Sunset Rock Villa, enjoys an idyllic hillside location affording spectacular ocean views in the far and un-spoilt, south of Koh Samui.
The villa is made up of four separate pavilions that have been carefully constructed to blend in beautifully with the rocky hillside.
The first pavilion provides a stylish and comfortable living area and is reached by a pretty path that meanders its way down from car port, through attractive exposed rocks and tropical plants under the shade of mature trees.
Easy to navigate stone steps complete the decent to the spacious and beautifully decorated living area that has high pitched ceilings and is surrounded by a balcony that has foldaway doors that, once open, bring the breathtaking, uninterrupted ocean views and the deliciously cooling breeze right into the lounge. The balcony is wrapped around the lounge and has an outdoor dining table which is perfect for home entertaining.
The lounge itself has a stylish and comfortable seating area, a flat screen television, stereo and DVD player and a large round dining table that can seat up to six diners. The room has been decorated with well chosen and stylish art and the high pitched ceiling keeps the room cool as well as providing beautiful lighting at night. Beyond the dining area is a well appointed modern, western kitchen that has fully opening windows to a useful outdoor serving area with a sink that is flanked by rock and pretty flowers.
The kitchen has ample storage area, a large American style fridge freezer, an oven and five ring gas hob, a microwave and fresh coffee maker. To the side of the kitchen you will find an attractive guest W/C and a fully equipped laundry room. The back door opens onto a small outdoor terrace area from where steps offer an alternative route from the steps that lead from the front door down to a hard wooden floored, covered terrace area.
From here the ‘must be seen to be believed views’ can be enjoyed from comfortable sun loungers that have been positioned next to a large rock that sits directly underneath the living area. This unique part of the villa enjoys a beautiful cooling breeze and is an idyllic spot for reading or simply relaxing looking out though the tropical surroundings to the ocean and the mainland beyond.
A wooden bridge leads over the beautiful swimming pool with a water feature that has been beautifully constructed around the existing trees and rocks, to the master suite.
The master suite can be accessed via heavy wooden doors that lead into a spectacular outdoor bathroom that has been built around the rocks. The bathroom offers privacy as well as a truly tropical outdoor bathing experience. The main entrance to the master suite can be found by walking past the double doors and down some steps that lead to a spacious wooden balcony to the front of the bedroom.
The bedroom has two large comfortable beds that can be set apart or together. The wall to the left of the bed is taken up entirely by mirrored wardrobes that offer plenty of storage space as well as visually doubling the size of the room. The second bedroom is accessed by steps that lead down from the master suite past ancient trees and giant boulders. Like the master suite, the second bedroom has a large balcony from where you can take in the views. It is furnished with sumptuously comfortable beds and has an outdoor tropical bathroom that has been designed around the rocks. Large double doors open up from the bedroom to the balcony.
From here more stone steps lead to a self contained cabin that has polished wooden floors and a vaulted ceiling. The comfortable living area has double doors that open onto a large wooden balcony that offers an alternative dining area.
Beyond the dining area is a well appointed and attractive fully fitted western kitchen.
A wooden staircase from the lounge leads up to a comfortable mezzanine sleeping area that has twin beds and a mirrored wardrobe. The cabin has an attractive outdoor bathroom with a feature terrazzo bath tub. From this level a second off- road parking area can be found at the end of a stepped path. Although the hill side location offer spectacular views the villa is not suitable for very young children or guests with walking difficulties. A 4 wheel drive car is required which we can arrange on your behalf.
